The Giddy Group is made up of social media marketers who also happen to be outdoor lovers and climate advocates. JOB OVERVIEW

Are you someone who lives and breathes social media, especially within the outdoor, sustainability, or environmental space? We’re looking for a summer intern to support The Giddy Group in growing the agency and supporting us with content on LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.

This role is a great fit for someone who brings giddy energy, understands the power of LinkedIn and it's capabilities, and is eager to learn more about growing an agency life and social media marketing.

Important notes:

  • LinkedIn will be the primary channel you help us with! From outreach, to content ideas, to community building. 

Position details:

Contract: Remote (U.S.-based only)
Pay: $18/hour
Hours: Up to 5 hrs/week (up to ~20 hrs/month)
Duration: June–September, with potential to extend

Key Responsibilities & REQUIREMENTS:

 LinkedIn Outreach & Lead Generation Support

What you’ll do:
- Use LinkedIn + other resources to research and build a list of potential leads
- Identify aligned companies and contacts (like marketing managers, founders, and comms leads)
- Support our team in refining outreach strategy and growing our lead pipeline
- Stay up to date on LinkedIn trends and bring content ideas to the table

 Social & Newsletter Content Support:

Goal: Grow The Giddy Group’s presence and thought leadership on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and in our monthly newsletter.

What you’ll do:
- Pitch weekly content ideas (think: social media tips, agency BTS, client wins, trends)
- Repurpose high-performing content into carousels, infographics, or reels
- Write short-form copy like captions, hooks, and newsletter blurbs
- Help format and build our monthly newsletter


REQUIREMENTS: 

LinkedIn:
-You already use LinkedIn and understand it as both a content platform and a lead generation tool
-You’re familiar with what makes a good LinkedIn post, content performance, and engagement trends

Content Creation (must have at least 2 of the following):
-Knowledge of content trends in the outdoor or sustainability space
-Video editing skills using CapCut or similar tools (bonus if you love editing day-in-the-life or trend-style content)
-Experience with Canva or basic graphic design
-You’re a current content creator in the outdoor or sustainable space

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

You’re currently or were recently enrolled in marketing, communications, PR, business, social media, or environmental studies/sustainability.

*If you don’t have a formal background but have real-life experience, totally cool! We’d love to see your work or portfolio.

Experience:

  • 2 years experience understanding the use, capabilities, and algorithms of LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok 
  • 1-2 years of professional experience growing a social media account (which can be your personal account, local business, university page, etc!)

-Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
-Research: Strong research skills to ensure factual accuracy in all communications.
-Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple tasks and work within the pace of social media.
